Job Description:

ElevateLyf is seeking motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as Psychology Interns. This remote internship will provide you with valuable experience in the mental health industry and an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our clients. As a Psychology Intern, you will work closely with our licensed mental health professionals, gaining hands-on experience in counseling, assessments, and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct intake assessments: Assist in conducting initial assessments with clients, gathering relevant information to understand their concerns, symptoms, and treatment goals.

  2. Assist with treatment planning: Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients, incorporating evidence-based interventions and strategies.

  3. Conduct therapy sessions: Under supervision, facilitate individual or group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities, tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.

  4. Provide crisis intervention: Assist in managing and providing immediate support to clients experiencing crisis situations or high levels of distress.

  5. Participate in case consultations: Contribute to case conferences and consultations with the counseling team to discuss client progress, treatment strategies, and any necessary adjustments.

  6. Conduct research: Assist in conducting literature reviews and research studies to contribute to the development of evidence-based practices within ElevateLyf.

  7. Maintain client records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date client documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments, adhering to confidentiality and privacy regulations.

  8. Attend supervision and training: Participate in regular individual and group supervision sessions with licensed professionals to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Currently enrolled in a graduate program in psychology or a related field, with a focus on counseling or clinical psychology. Completion of relevant coursework is preferred.

  2. A strong foundation in psychological theories, counseling techniques, and evidence-based practices.

  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish a therapeutic alliance with clients.

  4. Demonstrated empathy, active listening skills, and the ability to provide non-judgmental support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  5. Ethical awareness and adherence to professional codes of conduct and client confidentiality.

  6. Proficiency in using technology platforms for teletherapy and remote work, as well as a willingness to learn and adapt to new software and tools.

  7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote work environment.

  8. Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate client needs, including some evenings and weekends.

Duration and Compensation:

This internship is a remote position and will require a commitment of 45 hours per week, for a duration of 3 months. The internship is unpaid; however, we will provide a valuable learning experience, mentorship, and a letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
